Les Miserables Sketches

A couple of character sketches that I’ve been churning out whilst reading the book (the unabridged edition at last, this time with the character descriptions included!) These drawings are hardly dynamic, I know, but I really do love working on them. They give me the chance to show what I see of these characters and I wasn’t too happy with the ‘tooniness’ of my last two uploads (forcing myself to draw during an art-block makes the characters turn out ridiculous). As you can see, I’ve given them a little more realism (and tamed Javert’s eyebrows! Ha ha ha!)

So, from left to right: Javert, Marius, Valjean, Cosette, Gavroche and Enjolras.
