The Metro

My half of an art trade with the amazingly talented conceptual artist Jerome ~chichapie, (who has obviously been touched by the divine paintbrush of the god of digital painting!)

I asked Jerome if he would like to partake in a little digital tomfoolery a few months ago and was delighted to hear that he was all for the idea. For my own part, I must admit that I've been very wishy-washy with this. It seems we had been aiming to go at a similar pace, but I often had to take irregular breaks away from working on it for various reasons, so poor Jerome didn't always know what was going on (I'm sorry!) Thankfully though, that's now all in the past and I can at least say that I'm happy with how things turned out (albeit somewhat different from my original vision).

So this is Jr, a character described by Jerome as being a 'chaotic good' type personality. He is a kid who loves to push people around, using the name of the influential crime family he is a member of (the Sallieris) to get people to give him what he wants (including that ice-cream!) He will often willingly get into trouble if there's the need or if it is of benefit to him. The Metro is the name of the city's most successful wine business and also the city's financial backbone and is run and owned by the Sallieri family. Jerome mentions that The Metro and the Sallieris are a whole, since both names strike fear into the heart of the individual, and the financially broken rival family to the Sallieris are the Ciccios. That's also Jerome's other character Marco in the background there…
