Description
Wow, you know, it’s been quite a while since I’ve done anything in traditional medium, at least, anything like this… so I pretty much surprised myself when this little beauty popped out of my head onto the paper and I was able to wield the old pencils and paintbrushes again.
I had actually intended for this to be an ‘original’ piece destined for Anthrocon… I thought that the idea of ‘characters hugging their tails’ would be an appealing one (maybe I’ll explore that further sometime). However, as it turned out, this image fits in well with the other three anthropomorphic ‘Native American’ themed pics I produced a couple of years ago… so I may well be sending a high quality print of this to AC instead.
So, obviously, here’s a sweet little vixen admiring her gorgeous tail. Her adornment is much more simple compared to the other pieces I’ve done… just a simple feather. I’d like to think that she’s pretty enough not to need too many baubles… and her name by the way, I wanted to call the piece ‘Wind Through Her Tail’ (after the brave Sioux character in Dances With Wolves), but seeing as the others have only two word titles, ‘Wind Tail’ seemed fine. It’s only a shame my scanner killed the detail!
