Artist's Comments

Two more small feathers (‘minis’ as I refer to them now :)), this time featuring a grey wolf and silver fox, both done on black francolin feathers with added cock hackles. The wolf one is now the smallest out of the three feathers so far; the painted area is barely the size of the tip of your thumb. Once again, I apologize for the quality of the images. My scanner really, really doesn’t like having to deal with such small things and it doesn’t matter what I try. And again, the photo of them in my hand will give you a better idea of their size and I’m in danger of falling in love with these! They probably would make nice totem charms for carrying around or something. Hmmm… *Goes off to experiment*

Btw, I’m thinking of putting these little guys up for auction. I just wondered, would anyone actually be interested in them at all?

Just kidding.

beautiful. I love how you can fit so much detail into such a small feather. I mean, you went and made an already beautiful feather, and made it even more beautiful. I'd probably make an offer on one of those. Keep up the good work :D

Yeeeeee! Thank you... It's just good doing something enjoyable.

Thank you, thank you very much! :XD: I think I've taken to doing these size feathers because they are much nicer to hold than one of the bigger ones I usually do. I don't know, these just make me want to sit there with them in my hand or something. In fact, every now and then I find myself picking one up to examine it again! ^_^

lol I know what you mean. XD Makes me want to pick up a feather and paint it now X3 how long does it usually take for each feather of this size?

For this size? Around an hour I'd say. Sometimes less. I personally work quite fast when it comes to painting feathers (I have to, or else I would have to charge a bomb!) :XD:
:iconleopreston:
Heh heh... I need to stock up on my small feathers if I'm to keep this up then! :)

Oooh... *pets them*
:iconleopreston:
LOL, they'd probably like that. :XD:
