'Midnight Sentinel' Feather

Hah ha! So I thought it was about time I posted up another one of my painted feathers, so here we are… a grey wolf stands sentinel over the night, the full moon his only companion.
This is something that I class as a ‘bundle’ feather (that is, it has a trailing mixture of decorative extras added to enhance the overall effect). I often put my feathers into classifications to make grading them easier. So here we have one of my smaller feathers (I realize that some artists find it harder to work on such small sized feathers, but I rather prefer them… in fact, I’m often trying to see how small I can go!).
Btw, this is a wood pigeon feather, with a white downy feather attached to the tip, wrapped in hand dyed chamois leather with an attached pewter canid, flint rock and mottled grey feather ending. The embellishments include clear beads with two metal feathers, raffia strands, leather strips, bone, plastic and turquoise beads, small pheasant feathers and a fur clump from the paw of a black fox.
